McDonald's app downloads showed a fluctuating pattern, with a peak of 624K in late May but generally averaging around 500K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users started strong at 9.7M but saw a gradual decline, ending at 8.4M by late June.
Burger King India experienced a more modest presence with downloads hovering between 65K and 134K, the latter being a mid-May spike. Active users saw a slight uptick from 474K to 531K during the same period, indicating a steady but limited growth in engagement.
The Russian version of Burger King's app, БУРГЕР КИНГ - Доставка, купоны, saw downloads ranging from 45K to 86K, with weekly active users starting at 1.8M and slightly decreasing to 1.6M by the end of Q2.
McDelivery PH, catering to the Philippine market, had a more erratic download pattern with numbers between 15K and 75K. Notably, its active users consistently grew from 939K to over 1M, suggesting a strong and expanding user base.
Lastly, McDonald’s Deutschland observed downloads in the range of 27K to 62K. Weekly active users showed a positive trajectory, growing from 655K to 699K in early June before settling at 657K.
While revenues for these apps were not a factor this quarter, the engagement metrics show that the convenience of fast food apps continues to resonate with users.
